I am writing this in Tokyo which is a long distance from the areas affected by the disaster.
In fact, damage in Tokyo is very light.
However, the earthquakes that hit on March 11th have changed so many things.
It's been only a week since then, but I really miss our ordinary daily life.
Honestly, keeping up the appearance of normality is terribly stressful.
Meanwhile, we've received so many warm messages from people all over the world.
You have no idea how much we've been rescued by those words. We can never thank you enough, though I would like to say "Thank you so much!" to all from someone living in Japan.
Although we are thankful, this disaster is still ongoing.
You probably have been thinking, "poor Japan" but what about "poor Tohoku"?
We assume the news constantly broadcast the situation about Japan, but did the news report anything about Tohoku and what it was like before?
Tohoku is one of many attractive places in Japan.
I've attended live concerts with my band members there.
I've been there on personal trips.
People in Tohoku are very warm and nice. And the food is great.
The natural hot springs there are awesome. You can be enchanted by the beauty of the scenery if you go there.
There are also world heritages, exciting traditional festivals, and a very proud long history.
You might only know a week of history of Tohoku, but it actually has a very long history.
Now this beautiful place has been destroyed. Reconstruction won't be easy.
But, I believe in the history. I believe in Tohoku.
I and miaou have written a song.
Please take a minute while you are listening to read a little about Tohoku. Even if you don't listen, read a little bit about Tohoku and it's rich history.
If you find it interesting... you are a "Tohoku fan"!
Please believe in Tohoku with me.
It will take time to recover, let's look forward to the day we can visit Tohoku again.
